2008-04-22 - New Elfin has developed a new joystick with a 22 mm diameter, designed especially for use in harsh environments as in the nautical, marine sector, or in industrial and road work, where these devices are subject to heavy use and exposed to extreme climate conditions.

Ergonomics, design, technology
The attention dedicated to the design of this product has generated an extremely comfortable operating device with harmonious and soft shapes. It uses advanced materials and technical components; the silicon rubber shaft cover, for example, is highly suitable for use in environments with extreme temperatures and weather conditions. The unit can be supplied in the following colours: RAL7035 and RAL7016, to elegantly match the command position.
The control knob is made of a techno-polymer and it ensures a secure and ergonomic grip. The command shaft and other structural metal parts are made of stainless steel, while the sliding bushes use marine bronze.
The new Joystick can be fitted to a special series of electric (NO/NC) contact blocks especially built for the nautical sector.
To preclude corrosion that damages the electrical parts, particular materials have been adopted, like springs made of stainless steel, contacts protected by precious galvanising processes, and exclusive stainless steel screw terminals.
